Polaroid Project Day 3 photo 1

Shannon Purdy Polaroid project Day 3-1 by JW Purdy

A couple of weekends ago Shannon and I went on a drive to look at our future lake house site. We have dreams of buying a lot in a lake community and building our dream house there. We have been looking at one neighborhood for a few years now and just love it. We found a few newly available lots to go look at and took a trip to explore and just get a nice break from home. The first lot we went to look at features very rough terrain but we really like it. After looking at all the lots I think the lot in the image above may be the one we end up buying.

As we were walking around on the first lot we really loved all of the steep hills and valleys on the site. I had gotten down in a very steep creek and taken a few photos of Shannon from a low angel but since she was in the open shade they did not develop correctly. I still have some learning to do when working with Polaroid prints. Once I was on the other side of the creek and slightly higher than Shannon I stopped her as she walked into a semi clearing. Shannon got down in a low pose and I was able to capture this image. We had perfect timing in all of this. As soon as we made it to the car a gentleman walked up and started telling us about his experience with the neighborhood. He told us he had lived there since 1975, the year I was born, and really loved it. He gave us exactly the details about the area we wanted to know. I think he sold us the lot without even knowing it. If it all works out he will be a wonderful neighbor for us in about 10 or 15 years.

Thank you,
